Been running around like a crazy woman trying to get ready for Christmas.
I'm proud to say I finished the majority of my shopping over the weekend and got the package I've been waiting (oh-so-patiently) for from ViewSport came on Monday. I wrapped everything that night and I'm OFFICIALLY ready for Christmas! I shouldn't have to step foot into a store before Christmas... except to buy groceries. And I'll go to Reams... I'm not stepping foot into Walmart or Costco. ;)
Check out my cute pup! Went to PetSmart on Sunday to stock up on some essentials for her, bought some ear cleaning wipes (so gross... her left ear gets NASTY), some in-between-bath wipes, some Furminator shampoo & conditioner, (Santa is bringing me the brush set) and some more puppy food. The breeder was feeding them Kirkland puppy food and the vet recommended we upgrade to a premium puppy food. My Mom has always liked the Nutro brand... so Nutro it is. I swear I can already tell a difference in her coat. Shiny, pretty, puppy. Oh... and I found a ducky squeaky toy on clearance. She LOVES it! :)
On Tuesday night, we continued our tradition and made gingerbread houses with the Chiniquy kids. Jackson, his friend Ryan, Gracen, Elli, and Jamieson came over and got to work. I think they were more interested in playing with the puppies though. Especially Jamieson. He LOVES Paisley. He didn't really want to play with Olivia. ;) We've done gingerbread houses with the kids for the last 3 years. It shocks me every time I see the kids and how big they are (Jackson... when did he get taller than me?! and 15 years old? AH!) and Gracen and Elli are so gorgeous, it's not even fair. (These kids sucked up all the gorgeous genes, the rest of us are out of luck!)
Check out the finished products.
Jamieson (he didn't want to smile, so I told him to stick out his tongue. My Mom was not pleased. lol) |
Are you ready for Christmas?
Any fun traditions that your family does?
We usually go to Temple Square to look at the lights, but I don't know if we'll make it up there this year.
(p.s. 4 years ago, on 12/22, Dizzle proposed! After a wonderful date in Park City we drove ALL the way back to Springville and he proposed in my parents basement!! It's a funny story... maybe a blog post later...)
Those girls are gorgeous, but then again, so are you!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4 year engagement anniversary! you totally need to share that story. :) We are going to the lights tomorrow. I'm sure it's going to be a mad house!
Woah, you're right. Those kids are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTraditions rule! Dallas' family has a huge Christmas Eve party with the best food in the entire world. Every year my Mom comes up with these way fun games for the adults where we usually win money. This year Dallas and I won $100 in Smith's giftcards. It freaking rocks!!!!
Merry Christmas, Ashley!
