Okay, so I'm a little behind.
Bringing Olivia into our family has been quite the adventure and I'm finding how little time I have for blogging.
So I apologize for the late (& out of order blogs) and not keeping up with your blog posts...
Ashley and I went to see Breaking Dawn on November 17th.
and it was at a decent time too! 6:30pm! No midnight showings for us this year!
We hit up Pizza Factory for salad bar and breadtwists so we wouldn't have to gorge on candy and popcorn later. ;)
A spinal rehab place had "sponsored" our theater and they were giving out raffle prizes.
they saved the last 3 "big ticket" prizes for last. The one I REALLY wanted was a pass for 10 (30 minute) sessions on their AlterG treadmill.
AND GUESS WHAT I WON?!
a picture (on canvas!) of "Forks, Washington"
hometown of Bella & Edward.
okay.... so the movie.
I LOVED it. Really, I did.
I think it's the best one yet.
(umm... the sex scene... was hot. that. is. all.)
I really hate it when people say that the acting bad, or that the books are poorly written.
I'm a fan of the books and the movies. I know they are a little cheesy. And if the acting is bad- It doesn't bother me. Is the writing bad? I didn't notice. I was thoroughly entertained by Stephanie Meyer's writing.
Though, I'm not a stuck up literature snob. I like young adult lit, harlequin cheese ball romances, and western romances. It doesn't take much to keep me entertained.
we took a couple of inappropriate photos with the HUGE canvas. ;)
(outside of the theater, didn't want to upset the sponsor-- it was one of his photos that he took)
Although, in all honesty, after getting it home and looking at it awhile I'm beginning to wonder if I had it framed really nice... It might look really good. Keyword is 'might' and that sucker would cost a lot to have framed because of it's size. So for now it's sitting in the spare bedroom. After Christmas we'll have to re-evaluate.
I know this is like 3 weeks late...
but are any of you Twilight fans? See the movie?
Thoughts on the movie?
I saw the movie, but of course! I am not to happy I have to wait another year to see part two. I suppose I'll read the books, again! ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha! love that you won that huge thing. i always win the most random things as well. i am not a twilight fan but i honestly have never attempted to be so i am sure my opinion is not valid ;) glad you had fun!
ReplyDeleteTwilight fan, here. I will admit that I'm a little embarrassed about it. I consider myself a movie critic of sorts, so I'm pretty much horrified by all of them. (Yes, I'm that uppity girl). BUT I can't stay away from a midnight premier and I own every single one (and buy them the day they come out on DVD).
ReplyDeleteSo there you have it.
And I've read the books more than once. They are ultra cheesy, but ultra entertaining.
I'm a huge Hunger Games fan. I think my favorite part of Breaking Dawn was seeing the Hunger Games trailer on the big screen. IT. WAS. AWESOME.
Did you feel like the movie was super graphic? I know that the book was but, oh my goodness, I was horrified by the blood all over their faces and shirts. Couldn't they have at least wiped their mouths?
Are you going to come for a little meet up on Monday? Puhleese?
Well. I'm done now. Feel free to send me an award for the longest comment ever.
I think that picture is pretty sweet and pretty awesome that you won. Woo hoo!!
ReplyDeleteI havent ready any of the twilight books or seen the movies. I'm not a reader but tons of people love it.

That is actually a really cool picture! I might be the only person on the earth that hasn't read or watched the Twilight series. I think that by now I'm just going for a world record or something.
