Diz and I had a very low-key New Years Eve (very, very low-key).
I went running with my Mom and brother, Poshie.
We all wore our new neon green running shirts.
"TWINNERS!"
unfortunately, I didn't think to take any pictures!
we ended up running 13.12 miles in 1 hour 58 minutes.
great run to end the year.
I was pretty tired after our run, after I thought about it, I think it may have been my longest run since St. George.
at least I can't think of any other significant run since the marathon.
so it makes sense why I am still sore...
but the best part of New Years Eve...
was how snoodly Olivia was.
I put her up on the bed when I was getting dressed and couldn't help but lay down with her.
I had every intention of being somewhat productive that day.
and... well...
I wasn't.
we napped.
and cuddled.
and cuddled some more.
Our big plans for the night??
not much.
we watched Pirates of the Caribbean-On Stranger Tides (#3) and had a glass of wine.
Sadly... I did not make it to midnight.
but I did watch the whole movie.
Diz snoozed off and on through the movie,
but he made it to midnight.
When did I become such a fuddy-dud?!
The idea of a party and dealing with crazy crowds no longer seems appealing.
Oh well... we were happy to chill at home and snoodle with the pup.
New Years Day I woke up and brought Olivia into bed with us.
Diz got quite the wake up call!
We finally took Christmas decorations down (our house feels so bare)
and we hit the mall and I got lots of great deals! Wahoo.
then we came home and found some more deals online! SWEET!
How was your New Years??
Way to go out with a bank! New Year's was pretty uneventful- we were with family, but we were all watching a movie and missed the magical midnight party. Oh well! The food was good and that's all that matters.
ReplyDeleteI would love to hear about the great online deals you got! I need to learn how to shop more online.
ReplyDeleteI was fast asleep before midnight because of my 4 hour race earlier that morning. Super fun race at the Olympic Oval :)
Sounds like an awesome New Years. Love that puppy-face, shes aaaaaaadorable!!!
ReplyDeletemy NYE was pretty uneventful as well...although my brother did drag me to a movie and that may have been the only way i made it to midnight ;) love loev love your pup! she is already getting so big...such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteWe had a few drinks with friends for the New Year. Nothing crazy. :) Oh, and I bathed Winston. Soft and clean puppy loves are the best! Also, I LOVE to let Winston up on the bed in the morning. He's sooooo funny. Giant, and almost squished you to death. But totally worth it.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great part of pups - the snuggles....so CUTE I just want to moll her, but in an entirely pet-lover appropriate way ;)
